Fertility Screening

Every pregnancy journey starts with a fertility screening to assess and ensure your reproductive health and ability to conceive. Comprehensive fertility screening tests are done to identify any potential issues, and allow your fertility specialist to create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your body and needs.

Generally, a fertility screening includes:

• Medical history and physical examination
• Pelvic scans
• Hysterosalpingography (HSG)
• Hormone blood tests
• Ovarian reserve testing
• Ovulation testing
• Semen analysis for your partner

Further testing may be recommended by your Fertility Specialist, such as a Hysterosalpingography (HSG) or laparoscopy, to get a better understanding of your condition. It is important to note that you don’t have to wait until starting a family to undergo screening — they are also advised in your mid-30’s if you have yet to conceive.
